Challenge Course Staff Training – A High Impact Partnership

Whether you operate a challenge course or commercial adventure tour, training and retaining great staff that are prepared, professional and safe is the catalyst for high-impact programs.

Staff training is an investment of both time and money and more organizations are interested in conducting training in-house. Today's labor market where there is often high turnover requires an organization to be nimble and being able to deliver high quality training in-house allows you to train as staff are hired. However, developing in-house training staff and systems that align with standards and industry best-practices can be both challenging and time consuming.

Partnering with an accredited vendor (AV) for training can be a strategic investment in developing skilled in-house trainers who enhance your organization's learning culture. Accredited vendors provide industry-recognized expertise, structured methodologies, and proven training materials that ensure consistency and quality. By leveraging their knowledge and best practices, your organization can equip internal trainers with the necessary skills, and confidence to deliver effective training programs. This not only reduces reliance on external trainers but also fosters a sustainable, cost-effective learning environment tailored to your specific business needs.

How you begin developing a robust in-house training program will depend upon your organizations documentation and the experience of potential in-house trainers.

With a Synergo Training Partnership there are generally 5 stages:

Stage 1 - Assessment

We conduct an audit of your staffing, trainer qualifications, paperwork, inspections and more. We then create a training plan, documentation and curriculum for your site and each in-house trainer.

Stage 2 –Observation

Your in-house training staff observe training delivered by Synergo to learn the curriculum and material.

Stage 3 – Co-Training

Your in-house training staff co-train alongside Synergo gradually leading more of the content and receiving direct feedback and improvement planning.

Stage 4 – Verification

Synergo observes your in-house training staff deliver training and provides a formal review and assessment of their performance and alignment with the curriculum.

Stage 5 – Maintenance

In-house training staff train others using their curriculum. Synergo continues to support the organization by reviewing any changes to curriculum, operations, and the development of other in-house trainers.

By following a strategic, step-by-step process, your trainers gain the skills, experience, and confidence needed to deliver professional, standards-aligned training. This not only enhances staff development and retention but also ensures consistency, safety, and operational excellence.
