Head Rush Technologies has identified a potential safety concern with a component in a limited number of TRUBLUE auto belay devices. While no injuries have been reported, it's essential to take proactive steps to address this issue to prevent any potential risks.

Affected Products:

  • TRUBLUE iQ LT (12.5 m)

  • TRUBLUE iQ X (20 m)

  • TRUBLUE iQ+ LT (12.5 m)

  • TRUBLUE iQ+ XL (20 m)

Safety Action Steps:

  1. Check Serial Number: Verify the serial number of your TRUBLUE iQ and iQ+ devices. You can find the serial number on a sticker located on the device handle. The affected serial numbers are listed below:

    • iQ0014492 through iQ0036407

    • iQXL01283 through iQXL02678

    • iQP00110 through iQP00161

    • iQP000164 through iQP000356

    • iQXLP0104 through iQXLP0182 If your device's serial number falls within the affected range, proceed to the next step.

  2. Measure Mounting Height: Determine the mounting height of your device(s). Refer to the table below to identify the threshold mounting height for your specific model:

    • TRUBLUE iQ LT and iQ+ LT: <9 m (29.5 ft)

    • TRUBLUE iQ XL and iQ+ XL: <17.5 m (57.4 ft) If your device is mounted below the specified threshold, proceed to the final step.

  3. Contact Authorized Service Center: If your device is affected, please remove it from service immediately and get in touch with your nearest Head Rush Technologies authorized service center for inspection, potential updates, and return.
